Ep 4: The Art in Young Minds with Renee Odjidja

I met Renee at South Kensington last year at Women in Leadership Networking event at Holy Trinity Brompton. We bonded over going to ‘rival’ boarding schools in Ghana, I went to Aburi Girls Secondary School and she attended Wesley Girls’ High which is honestly one of the best in Ghana.

We talk about her journey from finishing high school at Wesley Girls High School in Ghana to moving to the UK and entering the art field. She then goes onto become one of the curators at such a prestigious art institution in London. A role she got after goign through 4 different roles in the same facility within three years.

She found her job via Twitter by searching for a hashtag and we discuss the imposter syndrome for someone her age doing such an important role at the gallery.

Please go visit the Whitechapel Gallery, the space is immersive and just a few minutes from Liverpool Street Station and ask for Renee.

Thanks so much for listening and rave, review and share to all your friends.
