I love tea.
Biggest lie ever! I
relish tea. I adore it. I close my eyes with the first sip and let it flow over
my taste buds whilst I inhale the fragrance and within a split second disappear
into the spice or zest of the brew which is as simple as pouring hot
water onto a pouch so divine. (Okay enough!)
I will have chamomile tea to
relax on a calm and quiet afternoon and green tea for early mornings and late
night detox. These are accompanied with the obligatory teaspoon of honey.
There is a lot of chai tea, for
post dinner conversations, creamy with evaporated milk and sweetened. Inhale
the invigorating spices of cinnamon and maybe ginger (which you could add
yourself), to clear your palate and sedate your senses.
I have more than a few of the
mint family and if you are not a fan off soda, this is great to settle an
I got a pouch of peppermint by Teapigs from my January Birchbox and I did a quick check on
their site. Boy do they have them, there’s popcorn tea, chocolate flakes, macha
(ground organic green tea) and jasmine pearls. I did a mix and match and bought
every flavour I don’t have. So I am going to be doing a lot of drinking. It is
all part of my 8 glasses of water intake a day (the only resolution I made this
year). Water is quite boring so then I will drink most of that in tea, please.
Nothing beats the simple kick of
a proper English brew(hello caffeine) and I still dream of the golden brew from
a tea bag of Lipton tea as a child, just before the milk is poured in and it
swirls at the bottom of the tea cup and makes it all creamy and yummy.
Anyone want a cuppa?
Lots of love,
